Today we went back to JDS TRUCKS & VAN, they specialize in the sale and servicing of commercial trucks and vans throughout the UK but this depot is based in Morley near Leeds in west Yorkshire.
We went back to the site on Saturday morning to clean their interceptors, gully’s and surface drains.
After the hard winter all surface drains and pots should be inspected and if necessary cleaned because with all the snow and ice we get, we use a great deal of salt and rock salt and when the cold stuff goes so does the salt, and where you ask, yes down your drains filling them with salt and road silt which in turn eventually will block your drains.
AMB ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, can offer this service using our vacuum tanker and high pressure water jetting unit, which will clear them drains ready for them April showers and making sure you don’t get floods due to them blocked drains.
The other job which we did whilst on site, was the cleaning of the sites interceptor.
Interceptors are there for the ‘interception’ of oil, petrol and greases, we stop these materials from to the sewer and watercourses because they are pollutants and don’t want to damage our environment. (see diagram)
